咲花商事株式会社は、農産物の国際流通に携わる企業として、事業活動そのものが地球環境および社会に与える影響を常に意識し、持続可能な未来に向けた取り組みを積極的に推進しております。当社は「環境への配慮」「食品ロスの削減」「多様性と公正性の尊重」を柱とし、SDGs（持続可能な開発目標）の達成に資する実効性のある施策を展開しています。

(1) 食品ロス削減と温室効果ガス排出の抑制 ― リーファーコンテナの戦略的活用

当社では、長距離輸送における農産物の品質保持を徹底するため、リーファーコンテナ（冷蔵・冷凍コンテナ）を積極的に活用しております。これにより、輸送時の温度・湿度の管理が可能となり、到着地における鮮度保持を実現しています。結果として、出荷後の食品ロス削減に貢献するとともに、鮮度劣化による返品や再輸送の回避によって輸送効率の最適化と温室効果ガスの排出抑制にもつながっています。

特に、省エネルギー仕様のコンテナの導入を進めることで、環境負荷のさらなる低減を目指しております。

(2) 環境配慮型資材の導入 ― ジャガイモでんぷん副産物由来の緩衝材への移行

咲花商事では、輸送時に使用する梱包資材の見直しを通じて、物流工程における環境負荷の削減を図っております。その一環として現在採用しているのが、馬鈴しょ（じゃがいも）澱粉の製造過程で生じる副産物を主原料とした発泡緩衝材です。

この緩衝材は、従来広く使用されていた木材系緩衝材（おが粉など）と比較して、

・軽量で取り扱いやすく、作業効率を向上させる

・耐久性・耐湿性に優れ、輸送中の農産物を安定的に保護できる

・焼却処分が可能で、有害ガスを発生しない

という特徴を持ち、環境保全と物流効率の両立に寄与する製品です。

また、音更町農業協同組合（北海道河東郡音更町）は2025年3月に、長芋の流通における緩衝材を、従来の「おが粉」からこの発泡緩衝材へと正式に移行することを発表しました。当社もこの取り組みに賛同し、関係企業や輸送業者と協力しながら、より環境負荷の少ない物流資材への転換を進めています。

副産物の有効活用を通じて、循環型社会の形成にも貢献するこの取り組みは、以下のSDGs目標に関連しています：

(3) 多様性と公平性の尊重 ― 国境・文化を越えた共生と理解

咲花商事では、国際貿易を中核とする企業として、日々さまざまな国籍・文化的背景を持つ方々と協力関係を築いており、ビジネスの現場において「多様性の尊重」と「公平性の確保」は欠かせない理念と位置付けています。

当社代表である呉 仲翔（ウー・チョンシャン）は台湾出身であり、日本を拠点とする外国人として、また海外で生活する経験を通じて、外国籍の人々が直面する不平等や偏見を身をもって理解しています。

呉は、日本に住む外国人、韓国に住む中国人、台湾に住むアメリカ人、多国籍の取引先たちとの関係において、文化や背景の違いを尊重し、それぞれの立場に寄り添った対話と協働を重視してきました。

こうした理念に基づき、当社では以下のような具体的取り組みを展開しています：

・国籍・性別・年齢にとらわれない採用方針とチーム形成

日本語が母語でないスタッフや、異なる文化的価値観を持つメンバーとも共に働ける環境づくりを進めており、意思疎通のための多言語対応や社内翻訳体制の整備にも取り組んでいます。

・国際取引における文化理解と通訳支援体制

取引相手国の文化・商習慣・祝祭日・宗教的背景を尊重し、通訳・翻訳サポートを通じて誤解や摩擦のない関係構築を心掛けています。

・外国籍従業員に対する生活支援と法的保護の整備

就労ビザのサポート、住居探しや医療機関の案内、多言語での就業規則説明など、生活面における支援制度を設け、公正な労働環境の整備を進めています。

Blossom Trading Co., Ltd. as a company engaged in international agricultural trade, is fully aware of the environmental and social impacts of its business activities. We are proactively implementing initiatives aimed at realizing a more sustainable future. Our efforts are guided by three core principles: environmental responsibility, reduction of food loss, and respect for diversity and equity—all aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

(1) Reducing Food Loss and Greenhouse Gas Emissions

— Strategic Utilization of Reefer Containers

To ensure product quality during long-distance transportation, we actively utilize reefer containers (refrigerated/frozen containers). These containers enable precise temperature and humidity control throughout the transport process, maintaining freshness upon arrival. As a result, we effectively reduce post-shipment food loss and minimize returns and re-shipments due to quality deterioration, thereby improving transportation efficiency and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.

Furthermore, we are progressively introducing energy-efficient containers to further reduce our environmental impact.

(2) Adoption of Eco-Friendly Packaging Materials

— Transition to Cushioning Material Derived from Potato Starch By-products

As part of our initiative to reduce environmental impact in logistics, Blossom Trading has reviewed its use of packaging materials. We are currently adopting a new cushioning material made primarily from potato starch by-products generated during starch manufacturing.

Compared to conventional wood-based materials such as sawdust, this cushioning offers:

• Lightweight and easy handling, enhancing operational efficiency

• Superior durability and moisture resistance, ensuring stable protection for agricultural goods

• Safe incineration without producing harmful gases

  
  

In March 2025, the Otofuke Agricultural Cooperative (Hokkaido) officially announced its full transition to this potato-derived cushioning for yam distribution. We support this initiative and are collaborating with relevant partners and logistics providers to promote the shift to more environmentally friendly materials.

This initiative also contributes to building a circular economy through effective reuse of by-products.

(3) Respect for Diversity and Equity

At Blossom Trading Co., Ltd. , diversity and equity are essential values embedded in our business operations, especially as a company at the core of international trade. Our CEO, Mr. ChungHsiang Wu, is originally from Taiwan and has lived and worked in Japan as a foreign national. Through both his personal experiences and his cross-cultural business relationships—including with Chinese nationals living in Korea, Americans living in Taiwan, and partners from across Asia—he has gained a profound understanding of the inequities and biases that foreigners often face.

Based on these principles, we are actively implementing the following measures:

為了確保長距離運輸中的農產品品質，我們積極導入冷藏／冷凍貨櫃（Reefer Container）。透過溫度與濕度的嚴密控制，有效維持產品抵達時的新鮮度，進而減少運輸後的食物損耗。此舉同時也有助於避免退貨或重複運送，提升整體物流效率，並減少溫室氣體的排放。

此外，我們也逐步導入節能型貨櫃，期望進一步降低對環境的負擔。

（2）導入環保包材

—採用馬鈴薯澱粉副產物製成的緩衝材

咲花商事在物流過程中持續檢討與優化包裝材料，以降低整體環境衝擊。目前，我們採用的緩衝材係以馬鈴薯澱粉製造過程中產出的副產物為主要原料。

與傳統的木屑類緩衝材（如鋸木屑）相比，該緩衝材具備以下特點：

• 重量輕、操作方便，有助於提升作業效率

• 耐久性與耐濕性良好，可穩定保護運輸中的農產品

• 可燃性處理且不產生有害氣體，對環境友善

此外，北海道河東郡音更町的音更町農業協同組合亦於2025年3月宣布，將長芋物流所用緩衝材正式由鋸木屑全面轉為此種新型環保緩衝材。咲花商事對此表示支持，並與關係企業及物流業者合作，加速推動更環保的物流材料轉型。

本項目透過副產物的有效再利用，也對循環型社會的建構貢獻良多。

（3）尊重多元與公平
