旧年中は、国内外の生産者の皆さまをはじめ、仕入れ先各位、ならびにお取引先・お客さまの多大なるご支援とご厚情を賜り、心より御礼申し上げます。日々変化する環境の中にあっても、変わらぬ信頼のもとお取引を続けていただいていることに、深く感謝申し上げます。

昨年、そして一昨年にかけて、世界は国際情勢の緊張と不安定化が常態化する中にあり、物流、エネルギー、食料を取り巻く環境は大きな転換点を迎えました。国や地域を越えて築かれてきた供給網が揺らぐ中、「安全で確かな食を安定的に届けること」の価値と責任は、これまで以上に重みを増しています。同時に、日本国内においても、記録的な気温上昇をはじめとする異常気象が深刻化し、農業生産の現場に直接的な影響を及ぼしました。特に北海道では、6月から7月にかけて深刻な干魃が発生し、北見地区を中心とする玉ねぎ産地においては、作物が壊滅的な被害を受け、事実上全滅と言わざるを得ない状況となりました。その影響は数量にも明確に表れており、北海道産玉ねぎの出荷量は、三年前の67万5千100トンから大きく下振れし、10月時点の資料では約47万トン規模まで減少する見通しとなっています。

これは一時的な不作ではなく、気候変動が現実のものとして農業と食料供給の基盤を揺るがしていることを象徴する出来事であったと受け止めております。国際情勢の不安定化と、気候変動による生産リスク。この二つが同時進行する時代において、食の安全と安定供給をどのように守り、次の世代へと引き継いでいくのか。それは、生産者のみならず、流通・貿易に携わる私たち事業者に課された、極めて重要な社会的責務であると考えております。咲花商事株式会社は、日本の農産物輸出入を担う企業として、安全・安心を絶対条件とした品質管理、産地との緊密な連携、複数供給ルートの構築、国際基準に基づく法令遵守とトレーサビリティの徹底を通じ、不確実性の高まる時代においても「信頼される流通」の確立に全力を尽くしてまいりました。単に商品を届けるのではなく、その背景にある生産者の想い、地域の誇り、日本の食文化そのものを、責任をもって世界へ伝えることを使命としております。

On behalf of Sakuhana Trading Co., Ltd., I would like to extend our sincere New Year’s greetings.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to all producers, suppliers, business partners, and customers both in Japan and overseas for your tremendous support and continued trust throughout the past year. Despite an ever-changing business environment, we are truly grateful for the confidence you have placed in us.

Over the past two years, the global community has faced a prolonged period of geopolitical tension and instability, bringing profound changes to the environments surrounding logistics, energy, and food supply. As the global supply networks that have been built across nations and regions become increasingly strained, the importance and responsibility of delivering safe and reliable food in a stable manner have grown immeasurably.

At the same time, abnormal weather patterns in Japan — including record high temperatures and extreme variations in rainfall — have increasingly impacted agricultural production on the ground.In particular, severe drought conditions occurred in Hokkaido between June and July, severely affecting onion production in the Kitami region. The crop suffered devastating damage, to the extent that it can only be described as almost entirely lost. This impact is clearly reflected in production figures: shipments of Hokkaido-grown onions have fallen significantly from approximately 675,100 tons three years ago to a projected level of around 470,000 tons as of October this year.

These developments are not merely a temporary downturn but are symbolic of how climate change is now directly challenging the foundations of agricultural production and food supply.In an era in which geopolitical instability and climate-related production risks are advancing simultaneously, the question of how to protect the safety and stability of food — and pass it on to the next generation — has become an exceptionally important social responsibility for all of us involved in production, distribution, and international trade.

As a company engaged in the import and export of Japanese agricultural products, Blossom Trading Co., Ltd. has made every effort to establish “trusted distribution” amid rising uncertainty, through rigorous quality control that places safety and reliability first, close collaboration with production regions, the development of diversified supply routes, and strict compliance with international standards and traceability requirements.
